About Caitlin Bernard

Dr. Caitlin Bernard

Dr. Caitlin Bernard’s dedication to serving patients has taken her to Kenya, where she has provided much-needed reproductive health services. As an OB/GYN, Dr. Caitlin Bernard fulfilled her fellowship in family planning and earned her MS in Clinical Investigation at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She has also joined the faculty of the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Licensed to practice in Indiana, Dr. Bernard holds leadership roles at Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, and serves as co-director of research at the AMPATH Reproductive Health Working Group. Her research has appeared in several journals.

Dr. Bernard’s undergraduate work took place at Binghamton University, where she received a BS. She moved to Upstate Medical University in New York, earning her MD and completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, while making the dean’s list. She was also considered for Upstate’s Gold Humanism Award.

Dr. Bernard’s other credentials include membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, and the Society for Family Planning.
